Cones: T Drill with Shuffle

Equipment

  • Cones
  • Open field or gym floor

Description

This drill is similar to the T-Drill, however, this time the athlete shuffles around an added cone (between starting point and top middle cone), as well as the top middle cone before shuffling to the left or right. This drill can have a couple of variations. For instance, shuffling around the cones in reverse direction or shuffling to a different side after reaching the top middle cone.

Tips

  • Head up
  • Knees bent with feet shoulder-width apart
  • Back flat / abdominals activated
  • Begin slowly and work at your own pace.
  • Make sure you have plenty of room.
  • Ensure that there are no sharp objects around you and that you have some drinking water handy.
  • If at any time you feel discomfort, cease activity immediately.
