Give infielders an opportunity to develop an initial first step.
Become familiar with proper angles to the baseball
Position players 10-15 feet apart.
The feeder rolls a ball 6-8 feet to one side of partner.
The infielder's initial movement is back and over to receive the ball either in a backhand or forehand position.
The ball is then flipped underhand to the feeder as the infielder returns to the starting position.
As the feeder, deliver the baseball with a consistant pace allowing the infielder to concentrate on footwork.
Provide enough time for the infielder to set-up after each repitition.
The baseball must be received behind the initial starting point of the infielder to compensate for the drop step.
