Objective

  • Challenge players to perform a bunt placing the baseball in a specific position on the field.

Equipment

  • Pitching Machine
  • Baseballs (10-15)
  • Helmet
  • Bat
  • Cones

Description

  • Set out cones to indicate the desired position of the bunt. Feed baseballs through the pitching machine, or throw baseballs to the hitter.
  • A player, or players, can be on either side of home plate to retrieve the bunted baseballs.

Tips

  • The cones should be place approximately one foot inside fare territory.
  • Close the distance of the cones to increase the difficulty of the drill.
