Marty is a Scout with the Milwaukee Brewers organization as well as the owner and operator of the Big League Experience baseball camp.
As a coach he has served as an Assistant and Head Coach with our Canadian Sr. team and an Assistant with our Jr. National teams. With those teams he has had the honor of being on the staff of the Bronze medal Pan-American team in 1999 and 2004 Olympic team that finished 4th in the Athens Olympic Games. Prior to his tenure with Team Canada, Marty acted as a Head and Assistant coach with Team British Columbia at both the Canada Cup and Canada Summer games. In that tenure, his teams were crowned National champions 4 times and Silver medalists on 3 other occasions. In 1997 he was named the British Columbia Coach of the year and in the Canadian Coach of the year in 1998. He has also had the privilege of being a guest coach with the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox organization as well.
As a player, Marty played and coached at Southeastern Louisiana University in which he graduated with a BA in Physical Education and completed his Masters degree in Health Promotion and Exercise Science. On his return home from Louisiana, he had the privilege to work under Canadian Baseball "Hall of Famer" John Haar (National Baseball Institute) and the Coaching Association of Canada to be part of their Level IV and V NCCP certification program.
When not scouting for the Brewers, Marty runs the Big League Experience organization (BLE). The BLE runs baseball camps in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia as well as clinics throughout Western Canada, premier tournaments and travel events. The elite staff is 2nd to none as it includes coaches and former players that have played and coached at the MLB, International and Collegiate level.
