Coach Tino is a multi-sport certified NCCP coach (Provincial Level certified) who specializes in preparing young athletes in the development of core skills and body mechanic fundamentals, in preparation for more advanced and competitive levels of play.
As an athlete and coach
over the past 40 years, he has competed/coached in local, regional, and
provincial competitions across multiple sports (Baseball, Tennis, Soccer, Basketball,
Football, and Badminton).
Through his current baseball coaching and convening volunteerism , his goal is to prepare the next batch of Canadian ball players for future competitive and elite streams of baseball play.
His personal goal is to
prepare his youngest son (and his friends/teammates) for the opportunity to
participate in an elite baseball program at an established North American college
or university.
Coach Tino's programs are designed to aid players, parents and coaches to collaboratively work to make the most of their collective baseball knowledge and experiences. Participation by both player and parent is encouraged during practice and training. Team decisions are also discussed collectively.
His program focuses on the
development of a strong work ethic, deep understanding of baseball fundamentals, respect for the game and its history, the
development of a positive attitude and a passion for play, fair sportsmanship, and to empower participants to self-assess and correct themselves as they become more aware of areas for self-improvement
